Demo / Trial Saddle Information & Signup

Startrekk, Quantum, and Barefoot saddle demo packages include everything needed (multiple pommel sizes, girth, pads, etc.) to ride in the saddle and are customized to you and your horse. Demo saddles and accessories are dedicated, which means that you are invited to ride in them as you would normally ride in your own saddle; there is no need to wrap the stirrup leathers or ride with a loose girth.

You have 7 days to try the saddle with additional time possible based on availability. Trials longer than 2 weeks are based on availability and additional fees apply. You are responsible for return shipping using a trackable, insurable carrier.

We are available for consultation and troubleshooting during the demo period. If you encounter any issues, a change of padding or other simple adjustment often improves the fit; please do not hesitate to phone us (401-829-5569) for advice.

If you would like to take advantage of our saddle demo program, there is a $65 fee ($35 covers shipping and the remaining $30 is the demo fee which is credited back to you upon a saddle purchase.)

Return Policy for New Saddles (does not apply to Trial/Demo Saddles)

If, upon receiving your saddle, you are not satisfied, you may return the saddle. You must declare your intent to return the saddle within the first 7 days after receiving it. The saddle must be returned in new condition (see description below). Shipping charges are not refundable. If the saddle is returned in other than new condition, a 25% restocking fee will be assessed. Custom orders are not returnable.

We encourage you to make use of our demo program, which allows you to try a saddle for 7 days and ride in it as much as you would like. The demo saddle comes complete with all of the different options for fitting that are available for that style of saddle. Since all horses and riders are different, it is essential to ensure that the saddle is properly fit and taking advantage of the opportunity to demo a saddle is the best way to do this.

Definition of “new condition”: The saddle is clean and free of any type of mark on the leather. There are no apparent impressions/scratches from stirrup leathers or creases in the billets from the girth. The saddle has no hair, dirt, water marks, or worn areas. All accessories also show no apparent signs of use. In order to keep the saddle looking new and still ride in it, please wrap the stirrup leathers in something soft (fleece covers or polo wraps). Use a girth with roller buckles, do not tighten the girth more than necessary, and do not leave the girth or stirrups on the saddle when you are not riding in it.
